CHANGES TO THE SOUTHERN SPIRIT CLUB CAR
We are pleased to extend membership to all our very loyal customers.
Whilst we acknowledge that the SSCC has not been as wonderful as we would have liked, this has nothing to do with the benefits of the club itself. Our Platinum membership has been wonderfully embraced, rather it is the management factor of record keeping & stocking the right merchandise sizes that have been difficult.
As a result, we are making the basic membership FREE with a basic discount. Gold membership continues at a lower price without merchandise, apart from the SRM cap, and with a higher buying discount whilst the 5 year Platinum membership has the advantage of an overall less expensive membership cost + additional benefits.
So that means a sell out of our top quality Polo & T shirts that we have in stock.
Polos $15.00 & T shirts $10.00 whilst stock lasts

RETAILER OF THE YEAR
Our congratulations go to Ray & Ileen Nunn of Austral Model Craft, www.australmodelcraft.com, Mt Gravat in Brisbane as our ‘Retailer of the Year’. This was achieved through an outstanding sales success with our VAK/VGK + QHAF/QHBF Coal & Wheat hoppers.
This Limited Edition, specially decorated “L” Class is awarded to Ray & Ileen because they do go the extra mile with their support & customer service.
As a by note, we have had quite a few requests for NDHF sleeper wagons recently. Ray tells us he still has some in stock.
OUR RETAIL TEAM
Since our start up in 2009, we have emphatically supported our selected team of retailers via our web site. These retailers were selected because they stand out for their continued support of our hobby.
A number of these are also stand-outs for their support of Southern Rail and their customers. They “go the extra mile” carrying a full range of stock and top pricing.
XPLORER/ENDEAVOUR
We will be in discussion with our factory in the next few weeks when we visit the them in China.
By early December we will be looking forward to advising a response to the dropped chassis issue.
2300/2400 QR DIESEL LOCOMOTIVE
At last, excitement runs supreme. We are delighted to advise that the tooling is about to commence on the 2300/2400 class. The deposit has been paid and it is now full steam ahead (pardon the pun). Over the coming months we will advise of the progress and there will be some surprise announcements along the journey. We have made some significant and some minor adjustments to the programme and we can tell you that there will now be 12 versions produced over the two production runs.
1O CLASS SOUND
The 10 Class sound units and the remaining non-sound units are on their way and should arrive at our warehouse around 20th November. Please be patent with the delivery as there are many to send out and only one set of hands! The wait will be well worth it.
C35 GRAIN HOPPERS
After some last minute hic-ups with the supplier, we advise the C35 Grain Hoppers are also on their way and expected into Sydney around 25th November. Just in time to treat yourself to a Christmas present of a pack or 2 or 3 or 4!!
