XGAY GRAIN WAGON
Since the successful launch of the “L” Class loco we have had a significant amount of e-mails / correspondence and phone calls to produce the XGAY grain wagons that ran behind the three ATN Access “L” class locos operating out of Victoria into NSW.

NPRY CEMENT HOPPERS.
Tooling is complete for the NPRY Cement Hoppers. Test shots & painted samples are due shortly. The project is running to our scheduled August delivery at this time.

VICTORIAN TANK CARS
Maybe our luck is changing on this project. The Chinese Customs eventually released these & our Trackside masters with the Victorian Tank Car decoration samples arriving on Friday before the Epping set up day & the Trackside models a few days before. Phew – very tight but we made it.
A VERY SINCERE THANKS TO DHL WHO WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO GET THE SAMPLES TO AUSTRALIA ON TIME AFTER DEALING WITH SOME VERY DIFFICULT CHINESE CUSTOMS PEOPLE
We were generally pleased with the painted samples ( lacking some of the finer dome detail ) and only made one or two alterations including things like the colour of the roll over straps. We are able to confirm that all the models are in production and whilst I am no longer prepared to give a delivery date, they will be here well & truly before Caulfield.

NEW TRACKSIDE RANGE
As noted above, the masters also arrived on time to be shown at Epping Exhibition. We were pleased with them and made no alterations. Currently in production & also expected in August. It will be a big month.

OPEN LETTER TO THE HOBSON’S BAY EXHIBITION COMMITTEE
Well our open letter to the Hobson’s Bay Exhibition committee went unanswered by the committee & was generally ignored by all & sundry except for friend Rod Young & one or two others. perhaps that tells a story.
It will be interesting to see if any of the major model suppliers accept the invitation to participate, already received by us. At this time I don’t know of any prepared to commit and that includes one major Victorian retailer.

EXHIBITIONS
Talking about exhibitions, the Epping (Thornleigh Brick Pit ) put on by Epping MRC (I am a member) remains one of the best Exhibitions on the calendar not only for the venue, (parking is still a problem), presentation, aisle width, mix of layouts & traders, transport and food but is notable for the quality of layouts displayed.
