4^TH MAY BRISBANE MODEL TRAIN SHOW – VLOCITY UPDATE

Southern Rail will be attending the

Australian Model Railway Association – Qld Show

Saturday 7^th & Sunday 8^th May, 2016

In the MARQUEE, RNA SHOWGROUND, BOWEN HILLS. BRISBANE.

WE ARE STAND T27 IN YOUR GUIDE

2300 PAINTED SAMPLES ON DISPLAY

Whilst we are waiting on a 2300 class update, painted samples of the three basic liveries will be on display at the show.

2^ND RUN VAK COAL & VGK WHEAT HOPPERS

The production composition has finally been decided on for the second run of these popular models. Featuring all new numbers and some new decorations including the iridescent ‘AURIZON’ wagons. There might even be some graffiti decorations along with some special labelled trial wagons including the 71’s

Whilst detailed information has not been posted on our web site, we will have order forms at the show with a special pre-delivery price.

QLD – OLO/OVO 45’ RAIL TANK WAGONS

NSW – NTAF 45’ RAIL TANK CARS

We are also delighted to advise that production of these tank wagons is also imminent. Whilst there are no new surprises (except 1) in this group of wagon,s the pr- delivery price is still available. Order forms are currently available  for both groups.

INTERAIL & QR NATIONAL QHAF & QHBF COAL HOPPERS

In conjunction with the VAK production run, there will be a special run of these converted to standard gauge VAK coal hoppers in HO scale 16.5mm gauge. This order form will also be available in Brisbane with a pre-delivery price which will be available to all our customers and will also be posted to our web site next week.

 V/LOCITY UPDATE

In breaking news, we are delighted to advise that our V/locities are on their way to the wharfs in Hong Kong.Their arrival date into Australia will be around the 18^th May, to us sometime after that and in your hot hands and in store by the end of May.

The pre delivery price is no longer available from Southern Rail but is available from a number of participating retailers for a short time only. During next week we will be finalising any outstanding monies on customer’s orders.

WHAT’S AHEAD

With the Budget now over, we are hopeful of having all of our outstanding projects completed by years end. We are certainly working with great energy to achieve this goal. With many new unannounced projects in the pipeline, including our next locomotive project, the remainder of 2016 & 2017 look very bright for our valued customers and particularly for members of the Southern Spirit Club Car.
