Fuel depots have been part of the Aurtralian country rural scene for many decades. Most signifacant towns have at least one, and perhapd two or three fuel distribution depots from many of the petrolium comanies. These depots provided bulk services to farmers, petrol retailers & the like in a towns’ surrounding areas.

Southern Rails’ model is based on Caltex & BP depots at Bathurst. Dioramas were made by David Low & Peter Street for an SMRA seminar some years past and these two models were combined to produce our first trackside model.
